Needles for Every Occasion

notEvery hand sewing needle you'll ever need. Five different coloured tins. One considered collection. Most hand sewists accumulate needles gradually - a tin of sharps here, some embroidery needles there - and end up with a drawer of partial packs in no particular order. The SOHMO Needle Collection is the solution: all five Japanese-made needle types, each in their own distinctively coloured sliding-lid tin, assembled into a complete and properly organised needle kit in one go. The five different coloured tins sit beautifully together on a shelf or in a sewing kit, look genuinely considered, and mean you always have the right needle for the job - whether that's threading a quick hem, working a bullion knot, stitching EPP hexagons, or running thread through canvas for a button repair. Each needle tin contains 20 needles. Here's what each type does: Sharps Needles - the standard hand sewing needle. Fine, sharp, and versatile for general mending, hemming, and everyday hand stitching. Embroidery Needles - crewel needles with a long eye for multiple strands of embroidery floss. For surface embroidery, cross stitch, slow stitching, and botanical embroidery. Milliner Needles - long, slender needles with a uniform shaft diameter. Essential for smocking, pleating, hand gathering, bullion knots, and English paper piecing. Easy Thread Needles - self-threading needles made in Japan. Press the thread into the slotted eye and it clicks into place. For anyone who finds standard needle threading a challenge, or just wants to get started faster. Tapestry Needles - blunt-tipped needles with a large eye for working through canvas, evenweave fabric, and open-weave textiles without splitting threads. For needlepoint, tapestry, and weaving in ends when knitting. Australian Beeswax - pure, unbleached, and naturally honey-scented. Run your thread across it before stitching to reduce tangling, prevent fraying, and help thread
